Wedding Favors For Men Can Be Difficult Choice
Friday, March 28th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedPossibly one of the most frustrating things for men going to weddings is that they seem to be ignored during the reception favor selection. It would almost seem that the husbands and boyfriends are only invited to make sure the cookies and drinks are replenished on the table regularly. Rarely will they find wedding favors for men, and will end up sitting in front of flowers, crystal-like displays and all sorts of girly stuff.
Before complaining, do not instantly blame the groom. Most guys know that planning a wedding is strictly up to the bride-to-be. Even most wedding planners do not necessarily need the groom in the room when decisions are being made and in most cases the subject of wedding favors for men will never come up. Being realistic, in most cases the wedding is for the bride and the groom is invited out of necessity.
All that aside, finding wedding favors for men can be difficult, considering the history of the favors and when couple opt for something for the table meant to be for both partners, it is still heavily weighted to the female taste. Asking men what they would like to see as wedding favors for men often generates responses either confused with wedding party gifts or items that cannot be displayed in mixed company.
Few Choices In Personal Items
Some of the most items that man may appreciate is food. Chocolate is almost always a hit for the males at the reception and wedding favors for men that can be eaten on the spot are quite popular. Some men will love anything they can drink, but this is not always possible. They may be at a wedding where no alcohol is served and somehow non-alcoholic beverages just do not get the job done.
Pens can make nice wedding favors for men and can be inscribed with the wedding date as well as the couples’ name. It is something they can use in the future provided it is not in a traditional girly color. Pens that wrap around the wrist or loop into mysterious shapes should not be considered as wedding favors for men.
If the groom and several friends enjoy golf, perhaps a golf ball with the wedding date and names can be arranged, or gold tees with the information can be a collector item they can keep in the dresser drawer. Basically, males are more interested in wedding favors for men that they can eat, drink or use.
